height=\"723\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Urban Fest is a meeting of <strong>emerging urban culture<\/strong>, where you can watch live music performances whilst visual artists create live murals.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their 2022 edition features the presence of <strong>female artists<\/strong>; women who, &#8220;through their music, reclaim the right to control their bodies and emotions&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Madrid Urban Fest has as its solid pillars <strong>multiculturalism, diversity of races, beliefs, variety of rhythms, of bodies and genders.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From key words that raised the concept of the festival (diversity, genderless, freedom, respect, social demands, focused on women artists, music as a unifying element&#8230;) I decided to work on the word <strong>RESPECT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>First sketches:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh6.googleusercontent.com\/ixr9pq4Li4ebXVsBFbbitHcmRQCdRevIWUXZYZV3ttFryKI735A-nVz_7SyWnZ4ANo_1pAGANCtTot913NXWipPU5o77vBiNewMSfowD2ddwKdF0HsOdxKkEtePzILA6S-8HFVz5gDjOrG7b3as_sP0-NEwwaUSXC9g8liLuaqPwdwvtVAJRB8W_wQ\" style=\"width: 700px;\"\/><\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:37px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Black and white approaches:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<div style=\"height:37px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I introduced elements such as fire and raised fists as a symbol of struggle, and the rainbow as a unified symbol of freedom and LGTBIQ+ pride.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To the illustration I added the words: BODIES, GENDERS, RACES, CHOICES.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:37px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Color palette:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I chose a purple background (a colour related to the feminist movement), and from there I selected a colour range that would stand out and work in the festive atmosphere in which it would be represented.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/martavelazquez.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/PALETADECOLOR-01.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-148\" width=\"509\" height=\"369\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Results in colour:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\"
